Lead Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years of experience leading teams and delivering high-impact business solutions. This role requires hands-on experience with microsite development and in-depth knowledge of the banking, insurance, or finance industries. As a Lead Business Analyst, you will take ownership of complex projects, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure that business needs are effectively translated into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, ensuring their professional growth and fostering collaboration within the team.
  • Take ownership of high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving initiatives to successful completion.
  • Provide strategic direction on business analysis efforts and facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
  • Lead the requirements gathering process, collaborating with key stakeholders to define and document business needs and objectives.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents, functional specifications, and use cases for new systems, processes, and enhancements.
  • Analyze and evaluate business processes to identify opportunities for improvements and optimization.
Microsite Development & Optimization:
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and optimization of microsites, ensuring they meet business objectives and provide a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure that microsites are designed to meet business and user requirements.
  • Monitor microsite performance, analyzing user behavior, feedback, and engagement metrics to recommend improvements.
Domain Expertise in Banking, Insurance, or Finance:
  • Leverage expertise in the banking, insurance, or finance industries to ensure that business processes, solutions, and systems align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments, and integrate that knowledge into business solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS) in all projects, particularly those involving financial data or customer information.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
  • Facilitate discussions and workshops with stakeholders to define and prioritize business requirements, aligning expectations and ensuring full understanding of project objectives.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and solutions to senior leadership and other key stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and managing project expectations.
Project Management & Delivery:
  • Oversee the delivery of projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including project planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that projects are aligned with business objectives and that the final product meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by recommending and implementing process enhancements based on feedback and project outcomes.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for business analysis, ensuring that standardized approaches are used across all projects.
Qualifications:Experience:
  • With strong experience as a business analyst and 5 strong years experience in leading and managing a team.
  • Hands-on experience with microsite development, from conception through to delivery and optimization.
  • Significant experience in the banking, insurance, or finance industries, with a strong understanding of the relevant business processes, regulations, and systems.
Leadership & Management:
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, mentor, and develop junior team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies, microsite development platforms, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel, data analysis, and reporting.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex business problems and recommend practical solutions.
  • Ability to think critically and adapt to rapidly changing business environments.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.
