Job Description

As a Data/QA Engineer in our Enterprise Data department, you will be responsible for creating and managing automated tests to identify issues with the ETL process to ensure the quality of data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

The role involves working together with the onshore Enterprise Data team to decide on the required tests on the process, automate them through creating stored procedures, custom dbt tests and scheduling these as part of the ETL process which loads data from source into the EDW.

  1. Automate the common manual testing done by the QA through creating macros.
  2. Build and monitor automated system health checks.
  3. Collaborate with Enterprise Data Engineers to investigate root cause of issues and suggest resolutions.
  4. Orchestrate data testing solutions using Airflow.
  5. Support the team in doing releases.
  6. Possess automation knowledge on any tool.

Qualifications

  1. Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
  2. Understanding of ETL/ELT process fundamentals.
  3. Automation knowledge on any tool.
  4. Enjoy collaborating with team members to build solutions that improve data quality within the data warehouse.
  5. Drive to automate processes focusing on ensuring data quality and process rigidity.
  6. Experience in data engineering.
  7. Experience working with relational databases and investigating root causes of issues.
  8. Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
  9. Understanding of database management systems and scripting.

  1. Experience in dbt, Snowflake, Airflow.
