We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our dynamic IT team.

The ideal candidate will have experiencebuilding and scaling RESTful APIs and be comfortable working in a collaborative environment to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

This role requires a solid foundation in back-end development with a focus on Python and Django REST Framework, as well as a deep understanding of best practices in API development, security, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:

• Implement robust, scalable RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework, adhering to clean architecture.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with cross-functional teams—including front-end engineers, DevOps, QA, product owners, and other developers—to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Continuously profile, optimize, and refactor code for performance, scalability, and maintainability, leveraging tools like Sentry, or Prometheus.
• Enforce engineering excellence through rigorous code reviews, automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate and orchestrate third-party APIs and services, ensuring data integrity, fault tolerance, and graceful degradation.
• Design and optimize relational data models in PostgreSQL, fine-tuning queries and indexes for high-throughput workloads.
• Leverage Redis and Celery for asynchronous task processing and caching strategies to improve system responsiveness and throughput.
• Deploy and manage services in Dockerized environments, with infrastructure hosted on AWS and served via Nginx on Linux systems.
• Contribute to system observability by implementing logging, monitoring, and alerting strategies to ensure uptime and traceability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of professional experience in back-end development with Python, including 2+ years of production-grade work with Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Deep expertise in RESTful API architecture, including authentication, rate limiting, pagination, and secure data exchange.
  • Strong command of PostgreSQL, with experience in designing normalized schemas, writing optimized queries, and leveraging Django ORM effectively
  • Familiarity with Angular or other front-end frameworks is a plus, particularly for debugging and API integration workflows.
  • Proficient in Git, with experience in branching strategies, pull request workflows, and collaborative development in agile teams.
  • Solid understanding of unit, integration, and E2E testing, using tools like pytest, unittest and a disciplined approach to debugging and test coverage.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Redis, and Celery for containerized deployments and asynchronous task processing.
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, including services like EC2, S3, RDS.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments, with practical knowledge of configuring Nginx for reverse proxying, load balancing, and static file serving.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a globally distributed team
