Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an Asia Equities Analyst with 5-6 years of relevant experience to join our asset management team on a temporary basis for 2-3 months. This role is primarily focused on providing investment research support across Asia equity markets, with the additional responsibility of assisting with portfolio management functions, including trade execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis on companies and sectors across Asia equity markets.
  • Monitor market trends, macroeconomic developments, and relevant news flow impacting Asian equities.
  • Prepare research reports, investment memos, and presentations to support portfolio decision-making.
  • Provide timely and actionable investment recommendations to the portfolio management team.
  • Support the portfolio manager in managing daily portfolio activities, including placing and monitoring trades and managing cash flows.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating financial models, valuation tools, and databases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient implementation of investment strategies.
  • Contribute to risk analysis and portfolio performance attribution as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 5-6 years of experience in equity research or investment analysis, with a focus on Asia markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in company and sector analysis.
  • Familiarity with portfolio management processes, including trade execution and compliance considerations.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Reuters).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Availability to start promptly and commit for the full 2-3 month assignment.
