Job Description

As a Communications Specialist, you'll create compelling content that connects people with our mission and inspires them to act. Collaborating with a talented creative team, you'll craft proposals, marketing materials, and omnichannel campaigns while maintaining our brand integrity and promoting communication guidelines across the organization.

Job Overview

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (PHT), Day Shift, Weekends Off

Work Setup: Onsite, Makati/Quezon City (Possible transition to hybrid/work from home setup)

The Qualifications We Seek

Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years of writing experience in communications, copywriting, or a similar writing role (required).
  • Experience in Christian or corporate organizations (preferred).
  • Experience in the not-for-profit (NFP) sector (preferred).
  • Background as a creative storyteller in written, spoken, or visual contexts (preferred).

Skills / Attributes Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, writing, or a related discipline (highly desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferable skills in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Proven ability to achieve key goals and results across multiple priorities while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to give, receive, and learn from constructive feedback.
  • Strong written communication skills across both digital and traditional platforms.
  • Expertise in translating complex concepts into engaging and relatable content.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with consistent application of analytical and proofreading skills in written content production.
  • High productivity and the ability to meet deadlines while collaborating with a talented creative team.

Knowledge Required:

  • Specialized knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, accessibility, content creation, and brand management.
  • In-depth understanding of the power of words and narrative concepts.
  • Exceptional organizational and efficiency skills, with the ability to manage multiple reports simultaneously and deliver them on time.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Primary responsibility: Write reports for donors that showcase the impact of the projects funded by the organization.
  • Manage tasks and initiatives within your area of specialty to contribute to departmental results and achievements, ensuring cross-departmental understanding and education in your field.
  • Organize and execute work to positively impact team results, achievements, and relationships.
  • Demonstrate and uphold the organization's values and behaviors, contributing actively to the team and organizational culture.
  • Research, write, and edit a variety of marketing content (e.g., emails, blogs, and ads) with a focus on producing funding proposals that connect people with the mission and inspire action.
  • Collaborate with Art and Film Specialists to create high-quality multimedia and omnichannel content aligned with specific briefs.
  • Maintain and promote communications processes and guidelines (e.g., style guides, FAQs, sensitive messaging) to equip staff and protect the organization's brand.
  • Pursue professional development to enhance skills, stay updated on communication trends, and deepen knowledge of the organization's programs.
  • Participate in corporate and individual prayer and worship activities and events as encouraged.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure compelling storytelling and a high standard of Australian English.
  • Perform additional duties as consistent with the position, as required or requested.
