OVERVIEW:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and supporting financial decision-making processes. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner, including accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare, review, and process invoices for billing and payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain regular cash flow reports.
- Assist in payroll processing for employees and ensure accuracy in wage calculations.
- Generate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the evaluation of financial processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure data security protocols are followed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is essential.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Prior experience in a financial role in the E-commerce sector is a plus.
Work Environment:
