Strategic CEO Role Leading a Major Healthcare Institution, driving operational excellence, financial sustainability and growth across a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital.

The Role

A high profile, leading large-scale private hospital in the Southeast Asia region is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic and operational leadership. This pivotal role carries full responsibility for driving the hospital's strategic direction, operational effectiveness, and financial sustainability.

The CEO will ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while guiding facility modernization, infrastructure expansion, and the adoption of advanced healthcare technologies. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will foster alignment across physicians, staff and stakeholders; and drive organizational growth, innovation and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership and fiduciary oversight of a multi-specialty tertiary care hospital.
  • Ensure high-quality, accessible, and sustainable healthcare aligned with organizational values.
  • Drive financial sustainability and growth through operational efficiency and strategic planning.
  • Optimize space utilization and lead infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Determine and execute the most viable expansion strategy (on-site, off-site, or combination).
  • Foster strong physician and staff engagement to strengthen institutional loyalty.
  • Oversee patient acquisition strategies and integrate cutting-edge healthcare technologies.
  • Maintain and enhance quality accreditations, including JCI or equivalent.
  • Represent the hospital to the Board, medical staff, investors, and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in leading large, complex hospital operations:

  • 15+ years of senior leadership, including CEO or equivalent experience in a large hospital (ideally at least 300+ beds).
  • Extensive operational and financial leadership, including P&L responsibility.
  • Experience with multi-specialty tertiary care hospitals and mature clinical programs.
  • Familiarity with JCI or equivalent international accreditation processes.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; culturally sensitive and adaptable.
  • Medical degree preferred; advanced management or business qualification is a plus.
