Position Overview: IT Asset Coordinator
Job Description:
The IT Asset Coordinator is responsible for managing IT assets and providing device support to employees. This includes setting up, tracking, and maintaining hardware, as well as resolving technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure devices for new employees.
- Collect devices from offboarding employees.
- Manage new hardware deliveries and ensure proper documentation.
- Report defective devices for repairs.
- Assign and close device support tickets.
- Reimage devices and ensure they are in working condition.
- Perform quarterly stockroom inventory checks.
- Assist employees with device-related issues.
- Handle other IT asset management tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years in IT support, asset management, or helpdesk roles.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service: Ability to provide great service to internal employees.
- Teamwork: Work well with other IT and department teams.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of IT asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SharePoint).
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
- Certifications: IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+) are a plus.
