Duties and Responsibilities

Market Research

❖ Assists the Officer-in-Charge in the identification of the research requirements of the company and preparation of the annual market research program for the company.

❖ Prepares market research briefs for approved market research projects.

❖ Prepares the Market Update Report covering the following:


• Macro-environmental factors


• Local construction industry update


• Competitor news update


• Client Profiling

❖ Administers maintenance of an updated market database (Financial Information Database of competitors and clients, Economic Indicators, and the likes)

❖ Gathers, organizes, and analyzes primary and secondary market data, trends, when and where necessary.

Investment Management

❖ Assists in the evaluation of new investment opportunities/ business prospects from the Department Head.

❖ Provides assistance in the completion of requirements for new investment opportunity.

❖ Plans, organizes, and assists in overseeing all the activities and work related to new investment projects.

❖ Provides inputs on the preparation of strategies for the new investment opportunity.

❖ Prepares evaluation of business models, financial models for new investment projects.

❖ Assists in the preparation of business plans and financial forecast for new investments.

❖ Where applicable, coordinate and work with different departments related to the financial, legal, and other requirements of the new investments.

❖ Where necessary, provide assistance in the pre-operation requirements of the new business.

Corporate Planning, Strategy Development, and Implementation

❖ Spearheads the formulation/review of the company's long-term and short-term corporate strategies through annual Strategic Planning Sessions

❖ Develops and coordinates the implementation of action plans to all levels in the organization

❖ Coordinates the programs initiated by top management to cascade corporate strategy to all levels in the organization

❖Conducts feedback mechanism for the status of overall and departmental strategies

❖ Leads the organization of Economic Briefings and Strategic Session Planning for the company

Risk Management

❖ Tracks emerging risks and assist the Risk Officer in developing policy recommendations targeted to counter emerging risks and seize opportunities

Corporate Planning Department Employee Development

❖ Assists in the formulation/review of the company's long-term and short-term corporate strategies (strategic development workshops).

❖ Assists in cascading corporate strategy to all levels in the organization

❖ Assists in the implementation of action plans to all levels in the organization

❖ Coordinates the programs initiated by top management to cascade corporate strategy to all levels in the organization.

❖ Undertake preliminary analysis and evaluation of corporate thrusts, strategies and departmental key focus areas that may affect performance of the company

❖ Assists in the budget development.

❖ Assists the Department Head and CFO in the review and analysis of finance related matters.
