We have been providing a wide range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultancy services since 2007 and are now expanding our Civil and Structural Engineering division.

Our engineering expertise reaches across all sectors of the construction industry, providing pragmatic and practical design solutions to ensure our projects are spatially and operationally efficient. Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.

The purpose of this role is to drive and manage the development of BIM within the business, provide technical expertise and implementation of BIM standards and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, guide, and support every BIM team in their allocated projects.
  • Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
  • Monitor all the BIM project's submission dates and manage the resources to meet the deadlines.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and compliance of models. Ensure that BIM deliverables are completed within the designated timeframe and adhere to project specifications and standards.
  • Train and support team members in BIM processes and tools.
  • Work closely with Design engineers and Project BIM leads, who are responsible for producing project information and requirements to the models.
  • Ensure staff have access to the tools and ACC web server.
  • Lead meetings to identify project tasks and resolve major issues in the model.
  • Support the career development, coaching, and mentoring of a team of staff.
  • Develop scripts in Dynamo for design and productivity requirements.
  • Work mainly without supervision; refer upwards as necessary.
  • Check the quality and accuracy of own and others' work.
  • Monitor hours spent to assist in meeting financial targets for the business.
  • Set and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Allocate tasks and coordinate activities.
  • Represent the group/office/discipline/profession internally.
  • May additionally be responsible for one or more of the following:
    • Drive development of BIM within the business.
    • Predict and plan future resources and contribute to setting up BIM aspects of new projects.
    • Design/deliver internal BIM events, activities, processes, and/or projects which have a major impact on the management of the business.
    • Provide guidance, training, motivational and directional feedback for the performance and development of others.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years technical experience specializing in Building Information Modelling (BIM). Ability in implementing BIM and CAD protocols and standards.
  • Extensive experience in BIM from LOD 200 up to LOD 500.
  • Knowledge of RIBA stages (plan of work).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional experience in ACC/BIM360.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize own workload.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Exceptional managerial skills.
