Our Finance Team is looking for professionals to join us in BGC in the role of Tax Compliance Associate.

In this role, you will conduct regular and spot audits of units outlined in the Department's annual audit plan, as well as special or fraud investigations as assigned. You will ensure that all audit reviews and processes adhere to established internal auditing standards, including those set by the Institute of Internal Auditors International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, regulatory authorities, and relevant codes of ethics.

What the role will entail

  • The position is mandated to ensure the Bank's compliance with the National Internal Revenue Code, issuances by the Department of Finance (DOF), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Manual of Regulations for Banks, Banks Policies and Procedures Manual (PPM), Inter-Office Memoranda (IOM), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and other tax-related legislation.
  • This position is also required to ensure that risks in tax disputes and assessments arising from failure to comply with tax laws, rules, and regulations, including interest, penalties, and surcharges for delayed and erroneous BIR filings/reports, are managed appropriately.

What we're looking for

  • At least two (2) years in tax compliance or reporting function.
  • Preferably with experience in the banking industry.
  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
  • Being a Certified Public Accountant is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in tax laws, regulations, and financial accounting policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Proficient communication skills.
