Job Roles and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP MM Support & Maintenance:
  • Provide daily support for SAP MM users, ensuring smooth operation of the procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SAP MM issues, ensuring quick resolution to minimize business disruptions.
  • Manage master data related to materials, vendors, and procurement information to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform configuration, customization, and optimization of the SAP MM module based on evolving business requirements.
  • Assist in system enhancements and upgrades to meet business needs while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SD, WM, FICO) and third-party systems.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Plan and execute unit and integration testing to ensure SAP MM enhancements or updates meet business requirements and are error-free.
  • Perform regular health checks on the SAP MM module and other integrated systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work closely with business users, IT teams, and other SAP functional teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide user support and training for new processes, system functionalities, and tools.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and issue resolutions to ensure knowledge continuity.
  • Create and update user guides and troubleshooting documents to support end users.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track system performance, incidents, and resolution status.
• Process Improvement:
  • Identify and recommend process improvements or automation opportunities within the SAP MM module to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Stay up-to-date with SAP best practices and suggest new solutions that can enhance system performance and user experience.

Job Qualifications:

Key Qualifications for IT Augmentation in BAU for SAP MM:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
  • Advanced Degrees (optional): A Master's degree in a relevant field can be beneficial, especially for more senior roles.
• Experience:
  • Experience with SAP MM: Significant hands-on experience (usually 3+ years) working with SAP Materials Management (MM) module. This includes configuration, support, and enhancements in areas such as procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Understanding of core business processes related to procurement, inventory, and materials management.
  • BAU Support Experience: Experience in providing Business as Usual (BAU) support, which includes resolving issues, maintaining the SAP system, and performing regular updates and enhancements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working closely with other SAP modules (like SAP SD, SAP WM) and business teams to ensure smooth integration and alignment across business functions.
• Key Skills:
  • SAP MM Configuration: In-depth knowledge of configuration settings in the SAP MM module, including material master data, purchasing, inventory management, and invoice verification.
  • Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in the SAP MM module, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • System Integration: Knowledge of how SAP MM integrates with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP SD, SAP WM, SAP FICO) and external systems (e.g., third-party applications).
  • Data Management: Skills in handling master data, transaction data, and reporting related to inventory, procurement, and materials management.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience in performing tests for new functionality, system upgrades, and enhancements to ensure SAP MM works as intended.
  • Documentation: Ability to document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge transfer and future reference.
