As a Software Engineer, you will perform moderate to complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area. ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
  2. Complete simple bug fixes.
  3. Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
  4. Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
  5. Resolve technical issues as necessary.
  6. Keep abreast of new technology developments.
  7. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in software development or software architect role.
  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Expertise in Java Spring Boot, Micro Services and API experience.
  • 4-5 years exposure in Angular for frontend/Java Spring Boot for backend.
  • Platform: AWS.
  • Repository: GIT.
  • Agile/SCRUM experience.
  • Strong proficiency with data manipulation language (including but not limited to SQL and/or MySQL) including optimization techniques.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, specifically Java environment (at least 4-5 years).

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud development is nice to have.
  • Experience using applicable tool sets (IntelliJ, Postman, JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
  • Experience setting up and maintaining distributed apps with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Developing applications that integrate with multiple databases; experience using NoSQL DBs is an advantage.
  • Experience with Graph Databases such as Neo4J or Apache Tinkerpop and Gremlin.
