DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare machines and equipment for hemodialysis treatments, including rinsing, disinfecting, and cleaning stations after each treatment.
  • Calibrate reprocessing machines before each shift and manage used dialyzers to prevent contamination.
  • Reprocess used dialyzers, assess their acceptability, label, and record reuse numbers, and store them properly.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on dialysis machines, consulting maintenance records and clinic staff.
  • Coordinate repairs with Technical Services and assist in remedial actions.
  • Prepare and replenish consumables and supplies needed for treatments.
  • Generate reports on machine utilization, maintenance history, and pending repairs.
  • Assist nurses with patient assessments, emergency procedures, and CPR during cardiac arrests, documenting actions appropriately.
  • Support the Unit Head in coordinating with the Purchasing Group for machinery and parts delivery, updating maintenance records.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the clinic facilities and stock room security.
  • Collaborate with Facilities for maintenance and upkeep of the clinic and equipment.
  • Prime machines, excluding setting dialysis parameters for patients.
  • Serve as clinic Safety Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • No experience required or relevant experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma, Vocational Diploma, or Short Course Certificate.
  • Flexible with shifting schedules and on-call duties.
