Organize, lead, control, and monitor curative, preventive, and predictive maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities to ensure continuous production operations. Improves production equipment availability, performance, and overall operations costs in order to maximize return on investment and meet manufacturing requirements in terms of efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

  • Develops the plant maintenance organization, policy, processes, procedures, and information systems (CMMS) in line with corporate standards.
  • Oversees the development of preventive and predictive maintenance plans and ensures their proper implementation.
  • Coordinates with plant departments such as Production, Industrial Performance, and Quality to resolve maintenance problems and recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Supervises equipment and facilities maintenance effectiveness in order to minimize equipment and facilities outages in line with company's objectives. Inspects repair effectiveness and analyzes root causes of failures.
  • Defines and monitors implementation of prevention, prediction, and avoidance measures. Validates spare parts needs calculation and controls spare parts inventory processes such as procurement, reception, storage conditions, and counting.
  • Optimizes spare parts consumption and inventory value in order to minimize detention costs and equipment outage time. Monitors equipment overall cost and advises about refurbishment, upgrade, and replacement strategies.
  • Implements new equipment and facilities projects in line with defined objectives, budget, and technical specifications.
  • Develops the maintenance team knowledge and expertise on core wire production equipment such as Rod Drawing, Multi Drawing, Bunching, Extrusion, and applicable special cables processes. Assures that technical documents related to equipment are properly kept and accessible for the maintenance team.
  • Prepares and controls the annual maintenance budget and strategic plans. Prepares, communicates, and reviews Maintenance KPI's and defines accordingly continuous improvement plans of processes, procedures, and systems to meet the Maintenance Department and the Company's objectives.
  • Manages projects to improve the energy performance of utilities.
  • Recruits and develops a high-performing maintenance team. Performs other duties or tasks as may be reasonably requested.
  • Complies with the Quality and EHS Systems requirements. Complies with corporate values, code of conduct, and non-disclosure agreement.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, etc.)
  • Functional competencies
    Maintenance processes (corrective, preventive, predictive, etc.), Electromechanical skills, Pneumatics & hydraulic system skills, Automation systems, Process improvement tools (TPM, FMEA, root cause analysis), problem-solving tools, Faults & incidents management, Data analysis, QHSE standards, Budgeting & Cost estimating, Basic Accounting, Planning and organizing, Inventory Management, Project Management, Risk assessment and monitoring, Manufacturing environment.

Identify and evaluate the hazards and H&S risks. Project Management Tools. Methods of techno-economic feasibility, Evaluation of the effectiveness of energy performance improvement projects.

Required Experience

5 years experience in a similar position.
