Job description

The HR Supervisor performs administrative tasks and focuses closely on the employee-related needs of all employees within the organization. The main purpose of the HR Supervisor role is to support the HR Head in working closely with management and all other departments within the organization, ensuring a productive, safe, and respectable environment for all employees. Effective leadership capability is needed to succeed within this post.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports administration, coordination, and implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and practices from hire to retire.
  • Prepares and processes timekeeping for payroll and effectively transitions this to the system and oversees it.
  • Oversees and supports the successful implementation of HR Management, Payroll, and Timekeeping System.
  • Monitors and reports all absences, tardiness, overtime, official business, and leave credits of all employees.
  • Conducts sourcing, preliminary screening, and interviews of job applicants; reviews applications/resumes; evaluates applicant skills and makes recommendations regarding qualifications to support a qualitative and efficient selection process.
  • Assists in administering and explaining benefits to employees and mediates employee relations concerns. Serves as a liaison to government agencies (SSS, HDMF, PHIC, DOLE) as directed.
  • Administers human resources record management such as 201 requirements, contracts, and employee notices.
  • Provides assistance and follow-up on employee work-related queries, concerns, disciplinary actions, including timekeeping-related queries and loans.
  • Provides employee HR-related training and orientations to new employees.
  • Assists in the employee engagement agenda of the organization, including staff parties.
  • Assists in preparing and implementing job documentation and job evaluation systems.
  • Oversees the team of HR Assistants/Specialists for the effective and efficient functioning of HR activities and ensures performance evaluation and development of the team.
  • Performs general clerical duties, including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing. Retrieves records as needed and directed.
  • Handles SMS/telephone calls for HRD in a professional manner and coordinates accordingly.
  • Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or any related field from a reputable college and/or university (High Scholastic Standing).
  • People Management Skills.
  • Ability to Engage with People or Employees.
  • Negotiation skills for recruitment purposes.
  • Ability to oversee the function with guidance.
  • Able to make decisions in known areas of knowledge.
  • Supports the head in budget-related and function-related activities.
  • Able to guide and develop people in the team.
  • Gains expertise in all areas.
