The client is a boutique business specializing in high-quality, one-of-a-kind rugs, including antique, vintage, and designer pieces. With a curated approach and deep appreciation for craftsmanship, the company caters to interior designers, collectors, and home décor enthusiasts worldwide. Already established on Shopify, the business is now focused on expanding into additional online marketplaces to grow sales and brand reach.

They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Online Marketplace & E-Commerce Listings Specialist to manage and expand product listings across multiple e-commerce platforms. This role is focused on listing optimization, platform expansion, and strategic adaptation of product descriptions to comply with marketplace rules. The specialist will also research automation tools, explore new sales channels, and contribute ideas for boosting sales performance.

• Create, manage, and optimize product listings (100+ items) across Shopify, eBay, Etsy, 1stDibs, Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, AptDeco, and other platforms.
• Adapt product descriptions to meet marketplace restrictions (e.g., avoid “Persian” on Etsy due to sanctions), using clever, strategic wording to list items correctly.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory across all sales channels
• Research and recommend cross-posting automation tools to streamline workflows
• Brainstorm and execute strategies to target niche buyers such as home decorators and auction platforms
• Prepare and format auction submissions for LiveAuctioneers, including:
  • Organizing product details in their required spreadsheet format
  • Numbering and naming photos per LiveAuctioneers’ specifications
  • Pulling and preparing images from Dropbox for upload

• Coordinate with the business owner for approvals and updates
• Monitor listing performance and provide regular reports
• Use Photoshop or similar tools to edit and enhance product images (preferred)

• At least 2 years of experience in e-commerce listings or online marketplace management
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to tailor descriptions for different platforms
• Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, eBay, 1stDibs, Facebook Marketplace, and AptDeco
• Knowledge of inventory management best practices
• Basic image editing skills (Photoshop or Canva preferred)
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
• Experience creating auction listings
• Proficiency with platforms like LiveAuctioneers is required.

• Experience using platforms like Chairish and Ruby Lane is a plus.
