The role of Test Engineer is accountable to plan, design and develop manual and automation test tools, methodologies, script and execute end to end automation and manual test cases, track results, and log defects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating test strategies, test plans, and test scripts for both automated and manual testing.
• Developing scalable and reliable automated tests and frameworks.
• Contributing to implement repeatable automated tests during sprints to ensure quality, reduce test execution time, and incorporate automated tests into CI/CD processes.
• Planning the budget and labour needs of each sprint and product releases.
• Working in a dedicated squad team and helping to drive product quality.
• Ensuring all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release.
• Creating and communicating test reports for stakeholders such as the principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, and release management.
• Liaising with business users, business analysts and engineers to ensure that any assigned defects are resolved.
• Maintaining awareness of external environments and trends in testing to contribute to process and asset improvements.
• Promoting productivity through test automation tools, methodologies and best practices.
• Coaching and training other team members on manual and automated testing.
• Adapting to new ways of working, continually improving, and actively participating in squad events.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of software testing experience (Automation)
• Experience with automated testing tool Playwright
• Experience in both manual and automated testing including planning, test case design, test reporting, defect tracking, estimating and test coverage
• Experience working with external parties & vendors
• Demonstrated capability to learn and understand a business and its processes and systems in depth
• Experience with Selenium as well as other tools (e.g. Java, Maven, & Postman)
• Demonstrated skills with REST and SOAP webservices, & API testing
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines and parallel test execution
• Experience testing web, mobile and Windows applications
• Ability to work across multiple products / platforms / squads
• Regular use of a defect and test management system such as JIRA, Confluence & SharePoint
