What you’ll have Competitive Rewards: Above-market compensation, healthcare coverage from day one for you and dependents, paid time-off with cash conversion, group life insurance, and performance bonuses A Collaborative Spirit: Positive and engaging work environment with company-sponsored events and activities Work-Life Harmony: Flexible work arrangements to balance work and life Career Growth: Opportunities for continuous learning and advancement Inclusive Teamwork: A culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Reporting BIR & Local Tax Filing: Oversee accurate and timely preparation and filing of national and local tax returns (CIT, VAT, EWT/WT, FBT) LGU Compliance: Ensure compliance with local business taxes, permits, and LGU reporting across Philippine delivery centers Tax Provisioning: Manage tax provisions for financial reporting in line with PFRS/IFRS/US GAAP System Integrity: Collaborate with accounting to ensure ERP data supports tax compliance and minimizes manual adjustments Tax Strategy & Advisory Strategic Advisory: Provide proactive tax guidance on new business initiatives, contracts, intercompany transactions, and changes to the BPO model Tax Incentives: Maintain compliance with tax incentive registrations (e.g., PEZA, BOI) and reporting Transfer Pricing: Assist with local transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements ensuring arm’s length compliance Tax Audit & Risk Management BIR Audit Management: Lead audits, prepare submissions, manage communications, and negotiate resolutions with authorities Risk Mitigation: Monitor tax law changes (e.g., CREATE Law) and assess impact; implement risk mitigation strategies Policy Development: Develop and enforce tax policies, procedures, and internal controls Leadership & Stakeholder Management Team Development: Mentor and train junior tax and accounting staff External Liaison: Manage relationships with external tax consultants, legal counsel, and regulators (BIR, SEC, PEZA) Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) mandatory; Master’s in Taxation or equivalent is a significant advantage Experience: Minimum 7 years in tax, including at least 3 years in a managerial role; preferably in a multinational, BPO/Shared Service Center, or Big Four Technical Knowledge: Expert knowledge of the Philippine Tax Code and BIR compliance Experience handling BIR audits and assessments Working knowledge of tax incentives (PEZA/BOI) and international tax concepts Skills: Strong analytical and research capabilities, high attention to detail, ability to interpret complex tax laws Software: Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication Core Competencies: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Must be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
