Overview

Finance Specialist (Tax and Treasury) – SGS Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines.

Responsibilities
  • Tax Reporting and Legal
    • Reconciles and prepares tax returns and computes tax liabilities prior to payment and electronic filing in EFPS, including:
      • Value Added Tax – VAT
      • Withholding taxes (compensation, expanded and final tax)
      • Fringe Benefit Tax – FBT
      • Other tax reports and listings
      • Corporate Income Tax
      • Documentary stamp tax
      • Annual registration fee
      • E-submission of tax listings such as monthly alphalist, input VAT & output VAT
    • Assist in responding and taking action on letters received from BIR, LOAs, Tax Mapping and government regulatory agencies for queries and assessments
    • Initiates processing of new and renewal applications of business permits for all locations and related documents such as barangay clearance
    • Process tax clearance and other related tax documents
    • Assist in annual business permit and other local regulatory requirements
    • Files and maintains tax and legal documents and other financial records to ensure completeness and orderliness based on established filing guidelines
    • Assist in legal document requests related to corporate secretary and other bidding requirements of business units
    • Assists in preparing and coordinating with internal teams for HFM reporting
  • Treasury
    • Daily cash monitoring for cash management and funding
    • Daily review of currency exposure
    • Checks daily bank statement and sends credit advices and debit advices
    • Updates bank records (users and authorized approvers access in Citidirect, ANZ, and BPI Bizlink) and other required bank documentation
    • Handles requests for performance, surety and bid bonds, requests for bank certifications and provides assistance in bidding requirements as requested by divisions
    • Loan management
    • Prepares and maintains loan documentation and schedules, interest and DST preparation
    • Proposes intercompany and/or loan settlement
Qualifications
  • Graduate of BS Accountancy or its equivalent, preferably CPA
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Finance / Accounting
  • Must be updated with tax regulations
