Join to apply for the Project Engineer (Mall Construction) role at SM Engineering Design and Development Corp. Project Engineer (Mall Construction) Responsibilities Prepares project budget and schedule to present to management. Conducts project bidding and recommends final awarding of contract packages. Manages securing of necessary permits prior to construction. Coordinates with mall personnel and project client for endorsement and possession of project area. Checks and reviews engineering drawings from EDD Design and conducts site inspection prior to project implementation. Monitors daily project accomplishment, inventory of materials and manpower. Prepares purchase requisition forms with accurate quantities and ensures timely delivery of owner supplied materials. Updates and consolidates all construction‑related documents (Owner Instruction slip, Change order forms, Design Change Notice, Task Tracker, Visual Diary, etc.). Ensures construction quality adheres to issued Final Construction Plans and approved specifications. Manages securing necessary permits prior occupancy. Maintains overall safety of project site including proper housekeeping. Collates punch lists and ensures that all are completed within acceptable limits and prescribed deadline. Identifies project risks and recommends mitigation to all project stakeholders. Devises action plan for site issues/concerns promptly considering the most cost effective measure. Attends meetings including alignment meetings with project stakeholders. Prepares, updates and monitors project reports (including cost reports) for management reference and update. Evaluates and recommends billing requests of contractors/suppliers for payment processing. Conducts walkthrough with all project stakeholders/client (designer, end user and construction groups). Handles settlement and closing of project accounts to all stakeholders (vendors/contractors etc.) including preparation and review of billing requests. Assesses contractor’s performance through evaluation form as part of post‑construction documentation. Prepares/participates in review of the project’s close‑out report for immediate leader checking and client acceptance. Requirements Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. A valid professional license is essential. Candidates with 3 years of relevant experience are preferred, but not required. Open to fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn.
