
Sr. Manager Sales Excellence

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Sales Excellence will play a key role in driving and executing strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance of the sales organization. This role involves overseeing the transformation of the sales organization, using processes, tools, technologies, and talent management practices, to ensure the sales team is aligned with evolving business goals, market conditions, and customer expectations. This person will collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders to drive the strategy for sales transformation and lead the execution of high-impact projects to drive measurable improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIESSales Strategy Development:
- Starting with the Global framework & working closely with sales leadership, to define and implement the sales “play book”.
- Using the Sales play book, execute actionable sales transformation plans, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and market opportunities.
Sales Effectiveness:
- Leverage external best practices to ensure sales organization is as effective as possible.
- Assist the Sales Management to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Be the point of contact to synergize and incorporate the Global Sales Excellence processes and best practices.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of streamlined, efficient sales processes that drive performance and improve sales cycle time.
- Identify areas of improvement within the sales funnel, from lead generation through to closing, and implement solutions to optimize conversion rates and revenue generation.
Technology Integration and Tools:
- Oversee the integration and optimization of sales tools and technologies (CRM systems, sales enablement platforms, analytics, etc.) to improve productivity and data-driven decision-making, including providing training and support to the sales teams to maximize usage and effectiveness.
- Use data and analytics to assess sales performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Sales Training and Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales training programs focused on skill development and sales methodology aimed to enhance the capabilities of the sales team.
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to build a high-performing sales culture and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to sales managers and representatives.
- Measure and track the effectiveness of training initiatives and continuously refine content to meet evolving needs.
Change Management & Adoption:
- Lead the change management efforts required to drive sales transformation initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, tools, and practices across the sales organization.
- Engage and communicate effectively with sales teams and other stakeholders to foster buy-in and ensure alignment with transformation goals.
- Manage resistance to change and create a culture of continuous improvement within the sales organization.
- Define and monitor KPIs to track progress of sales transformation initiatives.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, operations, finance, etc.) to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales transformation initiatives.
- Provide actionable insights and regular updates to the Asia leadership team on the progress of transformation initiatives, challenges, and key successes.
- Work closely with sales leadership to ensure effective implementation of strategies and ensure the successful achievement of sales targets.
- Proven regional experience in one of the top global technologies, hyperscale or colocation companies, ideally in Sales Management, transformation roles.
- Proven ability to own complex, strategic partnerships with industry leading organizations.
- Dare to challenge the norm, and bring new ideas to organically uncover new growth strategies and opportunities for the team and/or region.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically. Adept at making data-driven decisions.
- Balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on tactical work to get things done quickly.
- Team player and collaborative - high performing individualists will not be successful.
- Entrepreneurial with an inherent sense of urgency; not afraid to take risks and get things done quickly while maintaining high standards.
- Culturally aware and have good interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across different functional teams and internal stakeholders.
- 25 to 40% travel will be required throughout the region.
