Associate Data Engineer

As an Associate Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure and pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for analytical and operational purposes.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop data structures and pipelines based on specifications and standards
• Implement ETL/ELT flows using Azure Tech stack
• Perform unit tests and system integration tests
• Support other key functions: user acceptance testing, implementation, hyper care
• Attend to incidents and change requests
• Write and maintain technical documents

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 1 to 2 years of experience in data engineering or a related role
• Experience with data engineering projects integrating data between multiple data sources & targets using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, etc.
• Good knowledge of SQL, Python, Spark, and Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions.
• Data Structured design, or Data Solutioning
• Experience with big data tools such as ADLS, Data Factory, Azure Synapse / SQL, Azure Databricks, etc.
• Experience integrating with vendor application
• Experience working on Agile projects is an advantage.
• Experience on Azure Cloud and/or other Cloud platforms.
• Ability to interpret and translate terminology between technical and business users
• Collaborate with geographically and culturally diverse teams across Asia and globally.
• Self-sufficient and self-motivated
