Responsibilities
  • Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch, adhering to best practices and design standards.
  • Utilize Custom Post Types and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugins to enhance the functionality and flexibility of WordPress websites.
  • Customize WooCommerce templates to meet specific project requirements.
  • Collaborate with designers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress development.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development and implement them effectively.
  • Maintain existing WordPress websites ensuring all functions are working and security measures are up to date.
  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Experience in Shopify and other web platforms is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS and Bootstrap etc.
  • Solid understanding of WordPress core functionality and architecture.
  • Experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Familiarity with Custom Post Types and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugins.
  • Knowledge of WooCommerce and ability to customize templates as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Integrating data from various back-end services and databases
  • Proven working experience in web programming
  • Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
  • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
  • Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
  • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
  • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details
  • BS in computer science or a related field
