Overview Duty Engineer (Mechanical) at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts Location: Sheraton Cebu Mactan Resort, Punta Engano Road, Cebu, Philippines, 6015 Responsibilities Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment. Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc.; identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves. Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies; maintain inventory and purchase orders log. Inspect tools, equipment, or machines; enter and locate work-related information using computers; operate power lift. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model. Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; communicate clearly and professionally; prepare and review written documents accurately. Develop and maintain positive working relationships; listen and respond to concerns of other employees; ensure adherence to quality standards; identify and implement ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost savings. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 75 pounds or less; traverse stairs, ramps, and various surfaces; reach overhead and below the knees; grasp, turn, and manipulate objects; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree. Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
