Job Summary The BI Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data systems, dashboards, and visual analytics that empower the business to make data-driven decisions. This role combines technical database expertise with analytical insight to translate complex information into meaningful, actionable intelligence. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field Minimum of 2 years of work experience in similar role Proven experience in database design, data warehousing, and BI tool development (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Strong skills in SQL, data modelling, and ETL processes Experience or familiarity with financial systems or data analysis preferred Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team With strong communication skills (above average English skills) Willing to work in Australian Time (shifting schedule) Job Description Database Design and Management Design, develop, and maintain scalable databases and data models to support reporting and analytics needs Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across multiple sources and platforms Dashboard & Reporting Development Build intuitive dashboards, visualisations, and reports that translate data into actionable insights Partner with business stakeholders to identify key metrics and performance indicators Continuously enhance BI tools and visualisation capabilities for better user experience and decision support Data Analysis & Insights Interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement Provide analytical support to finance and operational teams to drive forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and Business Units to align data solutions with organisational goals Present complex data in clear, compelling ways to technical and non-technical audiences Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay informed on emerging BI technologies, tools, and best practices Recommend process and system enhancements to improve efficiency and data accessibility Safety Adhere to all WHS regulations, guidelines, safety policies, and procedures as outlined by the organisation and applicable legislation Attend and complete all required WHS training, including safety protocols, emergency procedures, and safe work practices Carry out all tasks following established safe work procedures to minimise risks of accidents or injuries Promptly report hazards, incidents, injuries, or near misses to the relevant personnel Undertake safety audits and inspections as required or instructed #J-18808-Ljbffr
