Job Description You are looking for an Application Engineer who will be part of the Manila Application Engineers team. As a key member of our team, you are responsible for supporting business application systems for Cambridge University Press and Assessment, running in Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and on‑premise Linux and Windows operating systems. This includes evaluating solutions, conducting pilots and proof of concepts, and facilitating knowledge transfer with support teams. Qualifications Essential: Education & Experience: Degree or equivalent experience with 3+ years in AWS Cloud Engineering, Architecture, or Infrastructure within SysAdmin or DevOps roles. DevOps & CI/CD: Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and Terraform. Cloud & Virtualization: Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure, troubleshooting cloud environments, and experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper‑V. Desirable: Application & Scripting: Experienced in web hosting (IIS, Apache Tomcat) and scripting using Shell, PowerShell, Bash, Java, or Python. System Administration: Proficient in Unix/Windows admin, ITIL practices, incident and change management, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V). Networking & Security: Strong grasp of networking, firewalls, load balancers, AWS services, and directory services (Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP).
