We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant - Hedge Fund to join our team. The role involves analyzing fund performance, understanding securities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, processing investor movements, and maintaining industry and regulatory knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand client strategies and analyze fund performance monthly, following market trends.
  • Gain knowledge of securities including equities, bonds, swaps, options, FX, mortgages, financing, and futures.
  • Develop understanding of accounting standards relevant to Investment Management.
  • Review and process investor movements to ensure compliance with procedures, SLAs, and client documents.
  • Accurately record investor activity and ensure compliance with client formation documents.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes affecting reporting and compliance.
  • Review and price portfolios according to policies.
  • Reconcile cash and securities accounts, resolving discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve differences between accounting and broker reports.
  • Establish and execute processes and procedures.
  • Manage KPIs and monitor process improvements to ensure high-quality client services.
  • Perform daily and monthly audits of processes.
  • Provide reports as required.
  • Prepare and review GAAP financial statements and maintain the general ledger.
  • Calculate and review partner allocations, management fees, and performance fees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accounting.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Fund Accounting, preferably with hedge fund administration.
