We’re seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with prior Australian experience for our Australian client's 100% Home-Based role in the Philippines. This opportunity is fully employed with paid leave and great benefits. Our client based in Australia is looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator / Quantity Surveyor with previous Australian Mechanical Services experience to join their team and work from home in the Philippines. You will play a key role in helping with upcoming tenders and support the team. You will report directly to the Estimating Manager based in Australia and will act as an extension of their team. Our Client Our client is a specialist HVAC / Building Services commercial contractor who works on mid-sized commercial fitout projects in Melbourne, Australia. They were set up over 15 years ago and work with medium sized builders to deliver full HVAC and Mechanical packages; and have a strong background in fast track office and retail fitout projects. The Opportunity: The key objectives of the HVAC Estimator / QS is to be responsible for material takeoffs and, over time, compile costs and quotes required to successfully bid on upcoming projects autonomously. Accountabilities include: Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, equipment, subcontractor pricing, and labour. Able to work on fast track fitout projects (8-12 week turnaround times) Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Identify and assess project risks and opportunities. Work on a variety of high-profile and technically challenging projects Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and requirements Liaise with project managers and engineers to develop accurate bid submissions. Prepare and submit tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC products, technologies, and market pricing. Assist in handover of successful projects to the project delivery team. Support the business development team with preliminary budget estimates and cost plans. About you To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Must have previously worked in a HVAC Estimating / Quantity Surveyor role working on Australian projects Experience or exposure in air conditioning and HVAC work preferably in the fit-out sector Strong understanding and experience in reading plans and architectural drawings Experience using GroundPlan and Simpro Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English The ability to work independently and as part of a team Your own laptop and home office setup is essential Our client is offering a highly competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects from Home.
