Your Role: Job Summary As the Head Accountant for MicroSourcing, the Financial Controller will be responsible for preparing financial statements, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing budgets, and overseeing internal controls. This critical role involves acting as the primary financial steward, providing senior management with accurate and timely financial insights to support strategic decision‑making in a dynamic, multi‑client, and multi‑currency BPO environment.Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting Monthly Close & Reporting: Manage the entire month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and publication of internal and external financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow and working capital efficiently, including managing multi‑currency transactions and ensuring liquidity for day‑to‑day operations. Compliance: Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP), local statutory reporting requirements (e.g., BIR, SEC in the Philippines), and corporate policies. Strategic Analysis: Conduct variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget/Forecast) and provide insightful financial commentary to the CFO and executive team on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the BPO industry (e.g., margins, cost per employee, utilization rates, and operational efficiency). System Integrity: Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the General Ledger and the accounting systems (e.g., ERP/NetSuite/SAP), ensuring data accuracy and efficiency. Control, Audit, & Compliance Internal Controls: Design, implement, and rigorously maintain a robust system of internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk, specifically in high‑volume, transactional BPO operations. Audit Management: Act as the primary liaison and point of contact for external auditors, coordinating the annual financial audit and providing all necessary documentation to ensure a clean and timely audit opinion. Tax Compliance: Basic knowledge of tax matters covering corporate income tax, VAT. Working closely with Tax team Leadership & Team Management Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the local Accounting and Finance team, promoting a culture of accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial and accounting processes, leveraging technology to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or equivalent. Certification: Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines. Experience: Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a Controller or accounting manager position, preferably within the BPO, Shared Services, or a high‑growth, multi‑national company. Technical Knowledge: Deep, working knowledge of Philippine Tax Laws, SEC/BIR regulations, and IFRS/US GAAP. Systems Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and superior Microsoft Excel skills (VBA, pivot tables, complex modeling). Core Competencies: Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Must be a strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.
