We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior Static Equipment Engineer .

You’ll be charged to perform Basic and Detailed engineering design on current projects to fulfill Departmental needs and support engineering operation within the Company. You will utilize discipline knowledge and design experience in the development of mechanical design, primarily for storage tanks, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.

• Lead Engineer’s role for static equipment, including monitoring of engineering progress and ensuring information flow between disciplines to meet project milestones.
• Technical accountability for the execution of static equipment design during concept, FEED through EPC, and construction and commissioning support.
• Execute project activities within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards.
• Review and raise clarifications on ITB/Client/Contractual documents when ambiguities arise.
• Prepare, review and approve Mechanical engineering deliverables (specifications, datasheets, requisitions, TBE reports).
• Develop engineering drawing and design calculations for storage tanks and pressure vessels.
• Perform vendor drawing and document reviews, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Perform mechanical design and stress analysis for tanks and pressure vessels.
• Participate in 3D model, HAZID, HAZOP, and Constructability review workshops; coordinate and close out mechanical-related issues.
• Review and provide input to PFDs, P&IDs, material selection.
• Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary documents such as Basis of Design, Loading data, etc.
• Provide input and recommendations for equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project teams (process, civil, piping, instrumentation & controls, electrical, metallurgy, projects management, procurement, inspection, logistics, commissioning and construction) to ensure the successful integration of static equipment into overall project designs.
• Develop and review scope of work, budget, and activity schedules for projects during tender stage.
• Train and mentor local staff, as required.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Acted as Lead Mechanical/Static engineer, with at least 16 years of experience in engineering and design of static equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors. Primary focus areas include fuel gas and fuel oil supply systems, water/wastewater systems, and air/nitrogen utility systems.
• Experience in all phases of project execution from concept, FEED through to EPC, and construction and commissioning.
• Fully conversant with international codes and standards (ASME VIII, API 650/620, AWWA, UL, TEMA); able to interpret requirements and code limitations.
• Knowledge of tank type and roof type selection based on process, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Experience validating calculation documents for shell, roof, wind/seismic, and nozzle reinforcements.
• Proficiency with PV Elite, COMPASS/COMPRESS, and Tank (by Intergraph/Hexagon) software.
• Experience in preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals; ability to review vendor exceptions and deviations.
• Familiarity with mechanical design principles, constructability, and maintainability.
• Experience witnessing Vendor FAT and reviewing test reports.
• Previous experience with equipment vendors is a plus.
