Overview

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the website as well as implementing SEO, CRO and accessibility best practices. If you are a self-motivated WordPress expert who is able to work both independently as well as in a virtual team setting, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain pages and ensure website information is up to date
  • Perform website updates with high attention to detail
  • Manage website update request tickets
  • Post articles and other custom post types as requested
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all requested technical issues
  • Provide monthly performance, and CRO audits on the sites
  • Conduct QA testing on University\'s websites and subdomains
  • Develop UI/UX page mockups, including landing pages, that clearly illustrate page function and design, while adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Work with members of the Digital Marketing team to ensure the website aligns with brand strategy and meets all standards
  • Ensure compliance of the website to WCAG accessibility standards
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct page layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Implement SEO/CRO best practices
  • Update HTML, CSS and PHP as needed on subdomains
  • Assist with landing pages and web forms creation and optimization
  • Ensure all integrations on the website and subdomains are working effectively
  • Keeping up-to-date on industry best practices
  • Assist with other digital marketing activities as needed
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Headless WordPress and Gutenburg
  • Experience with Figma or Adobe Creative Suite
  • An expert in HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience in Figma and UX/UI best practices
  • A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
  • A positive and upbeat attitude with the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and problem-solving ability
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR
