Overview

Design Manager positions in the Philippines involving architecture, engineering, and related design disciplines. Roles require leading design teams, ensuring quality and compliance, coordinating with stakeholders, managing design processes from concept to construction, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage design teams across architectural, interior, landscape, or facade disciplines to deliver high‑quality design outputs.
  • Review, approve, and coordinate design drawings and shop drawings; ensure adherence to project standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, project management, procurement) and external partners to align design intent with project goals.
  • Oversee design workflows, BIM processes, master planning, and value engineering as required by project scope.
  • Monitor progress, manage budgets related to design activities, and ensure on‑time delivery of design packages.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international codes/standards and QA/QC procedures.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting designs and justifying design decisions.
  • Mentor and develop design staff, promoting collaboration and professional growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field; licensed Architect or Professional Engineer preferred.
  • 5–10+ years of relevant design leadership experience across real estate, architecture, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), SketchUp, Photoshop, MS Office; familiarity with design software and project management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, and deliver design solutions that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of design standards, building codes, sustainability considerations, and QA/QC processes.
