Structural Design Engineer SMEC Mandaluyong, National Capital Region, Philippines The Coastal Engineering and Management team of SMEC is looking for an experienced Structural Design Engineer to lead land reclamation development projects. Key Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Professional Registration. Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design. Key Responsibilities Lead all structural design activities for the project, including quality control and checking of designs. Provide professional structural engineering for commercial, public, industrial, railway stations and other structures, including retaining walls and foundations. Liaise with the client and other stakeholders independently during the design process and ensure client requirements are clearly identified and addressed. Collaborate with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil and rail teams to ensure all structures are fit for purpose, code compliant and meet the client’s requirements. Interface with railway system designers to ensure compatibility of designs with railway system requirements. Produce clear and concise design reports in accordance with client requirements. Review and check CADD and drafting outputs in relation to structural design. Certify under seal all structural engineering designs and drawings. Assist in the preparation of specifications and bills of quantities as required.
