Role summary
You will manage infrastructure and operating environments, respond to incidents, and improve system reliability through automation. This role blends hands-on engineering with operational ownership, giving you exposure to cloud, containers, and enterprise-scale platforms.
Your focus will include:
- Managing Linux and Windows environments
- Supporting virtualized and containerized platforms
- Monitoring system performance and resolving incidents
- Automating repetitive operational tasks
- Improving reliability, availability, and scalability
About the team
You will join a globally connected operations environment supporting Retail Banking services. The team works across infrastructure, platforms, and applications- collaborating closely with engineering, security, and architecture teams.
Expect a diverse, international setup where knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.
Required skills
We're looking for engineers who are curious, proactive, and comfortable working across technologies.
Core technical skills:
- Strong experience with Linux and Windows systems
- Virtualization (VMWare or similar)
- Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, load balancing)
Engineering & operations:
- Scripting and automation (Python, Bash, or Go)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git)
- Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Monitoring and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)
- Incident and problem management
Nice to have:
- Database knowledge (SQL)
- Experience with IT risk controls, audit support, or compliance
- Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery setups
