Job Description
The Data Testing Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of data flows within an organization. He/She is key in proactively ensuring that data quality is maintained across the enterprise, thereby enabling Business Units and Analytics Teams to deliver relevant and accurate models and insights. He/She will define and implement end-to-end test plans, with specific focus on the business requirements, data integration/transformation and data-level validations prior to production deployment. This role is responsible for verifying data integrity, validating the proper functioning of data pipelines upon deployment, ensuring all business requirements are met prior to production deployment; and enabling operations teams to monitor data completeness and accuracy via test automation tools and DevOps processes.
Duties And Responsibilities

• Deep understanding of Globe data, (BSS OSS) and overall Data Cloud framework and architecture to ensure both business and technical scenarios are captured in test strategy
• Create efficient methods and tools to manage test data. This includes tasks like data masking, generation, and ensuring data security and compliance with regulations.
• Development of Framework and Innovation initiatives that will improve overall efficiency and delivery processes through Automation and Gen AI
• Validate output of the Data Testing Expert / Tester to ensure all cases are executed and to validate accuracy of test results prior to sign-off.
• Requirements detailing through collaboration with Front and Back office to ensure requirements are documented prior to planning
• Test Planning: Develop test plans and strategies to validate data flows, including defining test cases, data sets, and expected outcomes.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and other cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data quality standards are met.
• Data Testing: Conduct thorough testing of data flows, pipelines, and integration points to identify discrepancies, errors, and data quality issues.
• Data Validation: High level verification of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the data journey, from source to destination.
• Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline data flow testing processes.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and issues discovered during testing.
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing of data flows to assess system scalability, response times, and resource utilization.
• Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that data flow changes or updates do not introduce new issues or negatively impact existing functionality.
  
  

Hiring Requirements
Work Experience

• 5+ years of solid QA/Testing/Development experience
• 3+ years of Advanced SQL and Test Automation experience
• 2+ years of Cloud Technologies experience
  
  

Level of Knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related degree
• Strong Advanced SQL knowledge
• Strong Scripting and Test Automation knowledge
• Strong understanding of tools (test automation, jira, git, jenkins) and data quality policies and procedures
• Understanding of BSS, OSS , IN, and network systems and data structure is a plus
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and automation tools
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies, (i.e. black-box/white-box testing, regression, etc.)
• An in-depth understanding of data concepts, and data structures.
