About the Role

We seek a Power BI Architect who will design, build, and optimize data visualization tools that empower public-sector and non-profit leaders to make smarter, data-driven decisions. In this role, you will work with complex and varied datasets, build relationships across disparate files, and develop clean, reliable data models that are ready for analysis.

You will leverage Power BI (and occasionally Tableau) to transform raw information into compelling dashboards and visual stories that clearly communicate trends, insights, and key performance indicators. This position requires a strong foundation in SQL, excellent data-wrangling skills, and a passion for developing high-quality, user-friendly visualizations.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with at least three years of experience in data analysis who enjoys working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is motivated by creating impactful tools that support real-world decision-making.

What you’ll do

You will be creating and adapting visualization tools that bring together various data sources.

Examples include:

• Student information, including assessments, attendance, enrollment, mobility, grades, special populations, etc.

• Finance/HR information, including budget monitoring, hiring and vacancies, educator licensure, etc.

• Our tools are built to intentionally address the challenges that public-sector and non-profit leaders face on a daily, monthly, and annual basis

What You Bring

• Skilled in creating data visualizations using business intelligence software, ideally with experience in Power BI (strongly preferred) and/or significant experience with Tableau

• At least 3 years of experience in a role focused on data analysis including SQL/relational databases

• Experience working with data sets in various conditions/formats and which require building relationships across disparate files to create a comprehensive data model

• Skilled in cleaning, standardizing, filtering, and transforming data to create datasets ready to be analyzed and displayed graphically

• Understands what makes for a compelling visualization, can “tell a story” using data, and can draw insights from large datasets
