A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR ROLE
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting daily finance operations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable/receivable, preparing reports, and contributing to the overall financial health of the business. This position supports a hospitality group that delivers award-winning dining and event experiences through world-class venues.
Your Daily Responsibilities
  • Manage robust accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Reconcile invoices and ensure policy compliance
  • Perform accurate data entry and financial record maintenance
  • Prepare and process sales and COGS journals
  • Coordinate EFT payment runs and supplier payments
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and statement coding
  • Support month-end procedures and cash-flow reporting
  • Provide ad-hoc support and financial insights for decision-making
a Bit About You
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
  • Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
