Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Team Leader - Medical Coder located on-site in Taguig. As the Team Leader - Medical Coder, you will oversee a team of medical coders, ensure accurate coding of medical records, and monitor team performance. You will be responsible for training and mentoring your team, conducting quality assurance checks, and maintaining compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. The role requires close collaboration with healthcare providers and administrative staff to optimize coding procedures and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of medical coding standards, guidelines, and procedures
  • Experience in team management and leadership
  • Proficiency in conducting quality assurance and implementing coding audits
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train and mentor team members effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Certification as a CPC, CCS, or equivalent is advantageous
