Lead, Funds Technology

Bolder is seeking a highly qualified and experienced “Lead, Funds Technology” to provide expert leadership, oversight and direction for our team with the scope of all Bolder Funds Server Technology. The Lead, Funds Technology will be responsible for driving the design and delivery of technology solutions that power Bolder Group’s funds business. This role is focused on the build side of technology—taking business requirements, shaping innovative solutions, and working with Technology and Operations teams to deliver new capabilities. The successful candidate will combine deep expertise in fund operations with a strong technical background to ensure new ideas are implemented effectively, at scale, and with measurable business value. Key Responsibilities Business Engagement & Innovation Partner with Fund Operations leadership to capture new ideas, pain points, and opportunities for automation and efficiency. Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Act as a bridge between the business and Technology teams, championing innovation in funds systems. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their application to enhance funds operations and client experience. Solution Design & Delivery Lead the design, build, and implementation of new funds technology initiatives. Work across Technology teams (Cloud, Data, Software Development, Automation, AI) to deliver integrated solutions. Ensure systems and data flows between fund administration, compliance, reporting, and investor platforms are seamless. Drive proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) and pilots for new technology, ensuring successful adoption into production. Technical Ownership Apply hands‑on technical skills in SQL, Python, Databricks, and Azure to guide solution design and validate delivery. Oversee data pipelines, automations, and system integrations related to funds operations. Support modernization of legacy and classic fund technology systems, ensuring scalability and cloud readiness. Collaborate with Data & AI teams to enable analytics, dashboards, and advanced insights for fund managers and clients. Governance & Standards Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory standards, security requirements, and internal governance. Define and maintain documentation, best practices, and architecture blueprints for funds technology. Act as the technology owner for funds systems, ensuring they are strategically aligned and future‑proof. Job Requirements Education & Background Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related discipline. 8+ years of experience working in Funds Technology or Fund Administration Technology leadership roles. Demonstrated track record of designing and delivering new technology solutions in funds/asset management. Strong understanding of fund operations: NAV, reconciliations, investor servicing, compliance, and reporting. Technical Skills Advanced SQL and Python expertise for solution design and validation. Advantage would be a proven experience with Databricks and Azure services for data engineering and cloud delivery. Experience integrating fund systems with business intelligence, reporting, and compliance tools. Ability to balance modernization of legacy systems with adoption of modern, cloud‑native platforms. Soft Skills Strong business partnering and stakeholder management. Ability to translate operational requirements into technical designs. Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Proven leadership in delivering complex, cross‑team technology projects.
