Carpenter

1.1 Be able to understand blueprint, drawings and written specifications. Also understand work orders, change orders, and all other carpentry related job documents.

1.2 Perform rough and finish carpentry to company’s standard of quality and according to the plans and specifications. Bring discrepancies and special conditions to the attention of the Lead Carpenter.

1.3 Be able to layout and install stud wall framing.

1.4 Be able to lay out and install stairs for a basement or deck using a framing square.

1.5 Be able to establish grades for proper drainage of flarwork and simple structures.

1.6 Ability to use a transit level to establish grades and elevations.

1.7 Be able to install standard wall-hung cabinetry and accessories.

1.8 Be able to install pre-hung door units and windows.

1.9 Be able to install drywall and able to properly tape drywall sheathing.

1.10 Be able to do simple repairs in painting/staining, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and flooring.

1.11 Maintain a safe and clean jobsite.

1.12 Levels, squares, layout tools necessary for all carpentry from framing to cabinet work.

1.13 Perform other related jobs as assigned.
