Project Director – Utility Engagement

SmartVolt Energy, a rapidly growing player in the Philippine energy market and the exclusive local partner of Linyang Energy Group, is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Project Director to join our Business Development team. This role is pivotal in expanding our engagement with Electric Cooperatives and negotiating long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for embedded solar and energy storage projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with Electric Cooperatives across assigned regions Lead and support negotiations for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) Conduct feasibility assessments for new projects including technical, regulatory, and permitting reviews Coordinate internal and external stakeholders in crafting commercially viable energy proposals Track and analyze energy market regulations and DU operations for business opportunities Collaborate on integration planning for PV + BESS projects into DU and networks Qualifications Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) – Required At least 4 years’ experience in the energy sector (IPP, TNP, or DU) Working knowledge of Distribution Utility (DU) operations and maintenance Working knowledge of substations and distribution systems Familiarity with energy regulations and policy in the Philippines Hands‑on experience with Power Supply Agreements Proven ability to close renewable energy supply deals Experience in feasibility studies, permitting , and project management Knowledge of renewable energy technologies , energy storage , and electrical systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Why Join Us?
