Job Description

Job Summary:

The General Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger Management

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.
  • Post journal entries and ensure accurate financial data.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting.

Fixed Asset Management

  • Maintain and update fixed asset register.
  • Calculate and record depreciation.

Inventory Accounting (if applicable)

  • Coordinate with inventory team for reconciliation and costing.

Internal Controls

  • Implement and monitor accounting controls and procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation and safeguarding of records.

Other Tasks

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and tasks as required by management.
Qualifications
  • BS Accountancy/ BS Financial Management graduate or any Accounting related course
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Bookkeeping or General Accounting
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office and Accounting softwares
  • Knowledgeable in Financial Reporting
