Overview

The Project Site Nurse is responsible for overseeing the health and safety of workers on a project site, providing first aid and medical treatment in case of injury or illness, and helping to maintain a healthy work environment. They also assist with emergency preparedness, health screening, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee health and safety on the project site, provide first aid and medical treatment, maintain a healthy work environment, assist with emergency preparedness and health screening, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (RN), or relevant qualification in nursing.
  • Licenses/Certifications : Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant jurisdiction. Additional certifications in first aid, CPR, or occupational health may be required.
  • Experience : Experience in emergency nursing, occupational health, or field healthcare is preferred, especially in industrial or construction settings.
  • Skills : Strong first-aid and emergency care skills. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction sites or industrial environments. Ability to remain calm and take quick, effective action in emergency situations. Excellent communication skills to interact with workers, site managers, and external healthcare providers. Good organizational skills to maintain records and manage medical supplies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-risk, fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment : Work is typically based on a construction site or industrial setting, which may be outdoors or in challenging environmental conditions (e.g., dust, noise, heavy machinery).
  • Physical Demands : The role may require standing for extended periods, carrying medical equipment, and responding to emergencies in physically demanding conditions.
