Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager / Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and maintain the company’s financial health. This role focuses on accurate bookkeeping, regulatory compliance, and producing timely financial reports to support management decision-making. The ideal candidate is hands‑on with QuickBooks, experienced in month‑end close and reconciliations, and adept at managing AP/AR and cash flow. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and run daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks. Perform regular and month‑end bank reconciliations to verify transaction accuracy. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, supplier payments, and client billing. Oversee credit control activities and coordinate with factoring partners as needed to preserve cash flow. Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. Support budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor performance and report variances. Conduct cash flow analysis and recommend tactical improvements. Strengthen internal control procedures and ensure data integrity to prevent discrepancies. Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors. Supervise and train junior finance staff to improve accuracy and efficiency. Mandatory Skills Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and common accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Solid grounding in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. Good communication skills for cross‑department collaboration. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Preferred Skills Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent. Practical experience preparing and submitting VAT and CIS returns. Background in audit support, credit control, and budgeting. Prior experience supervising or training finance personnel. Experience in service‑driven or construction‑related sectors.
