Shopify Developer

This is a remote position. Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and optimizing eCommerce websites on Shopify, creating custom themes, and ensuring seamless user experiences. You will be responsible for managing and improving the functionality of our online store. Job Highlights Contract: Independent Contractor 20 hours a week Permanent work from home Flexible hours but would require a daily check-in with the client Shopify Developer Responsibilities Design and develop custom Shopify themes and apps based on business requirements and design specifications Customize existing Shopify themes and apps to meet client needs Create and modify Shopify templates, liquid files, and other Shopify components Perform front-end and back-end development tasks, including creating custom scripts and API integrations Ensure that all Shopify solutions are fully responsive and optimized for various devices and browsers Collaborate with our design team to ensure that all Shopify solutions meet our high standards for visual design, usability, and accessibility Work closely with project managers to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget Test and debug all Shopify solutions to ensure that they are functioning correctly Provide technical support for Shopify solutions to clients and other team members as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in Shopify development Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with Shopify's API and App development Understanding of web development best practices and responsive design Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other developers, designers, and project managers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with version control systems such as Git Experience with other e-commerce platforms is a plus Knowledge and experience in SEO is a plus Independent Contractor Perks Permanent work from home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job Please note that since this is a permanent work‑from‑home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection.
