Responsibilities

• Insurance-Related Tasks: Verify patient insurance coverage/benefits (Medicare, BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare (OON), Aetna, Humana, Medicare Advantage); manage auto liens/workers’ comp; coordinate authorizations with the Director of Insurance; update EMR with eligibility/benefits data
• Billing Support: Assist with denials/appeals, long-duration payer calls; insurance payment follow-ups; provide backup for billing docs
• Communication & Coordination: Handle insurance calls via 3CX; collaborate with Director of Insurance and billing team; explain benefits to patients as needed
• Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain documentation of verification outcomes and follow-ups; payer tracking/reports in Google Sheets/Excel; timely entries in Prompt EMR and Waystar
• Tools & Platforms: EMR – Prompt EMR, Waystar; Google Workspace; 3CX

Requirements

• At least 1 year of medical admin support with U.S. insurance verification
• Experience with denials/appeals and payer follow-ups
• Strong English, clear phone presence; highly organized; reliable team player
• Comfortable working U.S. business hours (MST) with a three 10-hour days and two 5-hour days structure
