Overview

Location: Burnham, Buckinghamshire, SL1 7NL • Pay rate: £24.18 per hour • Contracted hours: 36 hours per week, including alternative weekends.

Are you a Registered Nurse who thrives on making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people? You will need a current NMC pin. Our care teams focus on professionalism, kindness and compassion, at the core of everything you do. On some shifts you may be the only nurse, and you will lead and manage the care team to ensure high standards of nursing and personal care, providing clinical leadership and guidance where necessary.

You will deliver, monitor, and re-evaluate care needs in partnership with each resident, their key carers, family members and the wider team at the home, as well as liaising effectively with GPs, hospitals and external agencies. Lent Rise House is situated in the heart of Burnham, between Slough and Maidenhead. Our experienced team provides nursing care and support, ensuring individuals are listened to, valued and respected. The home offers warm and friendly communal spaces including a sun lounge, bar, quiet room, convenience shop and activity room.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the care team on shift to ensure high standards of nursing and personal care, providing clinical leadership and guidance as required.
  • Deliver, monitor, and re-evaluate care needs in collaboration with residents, their key carers, family members and the wider home team.
  • Liaise effectively with GPs, hospitals and external agencies.
About You
  • You will be a qualified Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse and currently registered with the NMC.
  • You will have post-registration experience and be able to evidence continuing professional development activities; comfortable working autonomously.
  • You will have a clear understanding of regulatory frameworks and, where relevant, be willing to train in:
  • Medication administration
  • Catheterisation
  • End of life care
  • Verification of death
  • Syringe drivers
  • Gastrostomy care
  • Venepuncture
  • Diabetic awareness
  • Tissue viability
  • Epilepsy awareness
  • Management of deterioration – sepsis awareness
