Senior Software Engineer - TypeScript at Redfast (Now Recurly Engage - Acquired by Recurly)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in TypeScript to join the Feature Engineering organization focusing on Shopify Subscriptions in Medellin, Colombia. The candidate should have broad system understanding, strong communication, and the ability to translate complex requirements into elegant, maintainable software that drives business value.

• Develop and maintain a TypeScript application leveraging Nest.js and Next.js frameworks.
• Implement and optimize integrations with Shopify APIs.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to deliver a seamless user experience.
• Optimize the application for performance and scalability.
• Ensure high quality code through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Debug and resolve issues related to Shopify API interactions, frontend and backend performance.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies in Nest.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Shopify development.

• 6+ years of experience developing in Nest.js, Next.js, React.js or similar frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Experience with Shopify API and developing custom Shopify apps.
• Solid understanding of SSR, SSG, and ISR in Next.js.
• Proficiency in CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Styled Components).
• Strong understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, session management).
• Experience with state management using Redux, React Context, or Zustand.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and deployment strategies (Vercel, AWS, etc.).
