This includes audits from the receipt of a letter from the IRS, State, and/or City tax department, to IRS and Department of Justice criminal investigations of CPA's, business owners and individuals..About The RoleWe are currently seeking a highly motivated Tax Associate or Tax Accountants to join our growing team. This is a full-time, remote position ideally suited for candidates based in the Philippines, preferably with prior US tax market experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service in the tax domain..Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide outstanding client service, building and maintaining client relationships throughout the tax resolution process. Represent clients in sales and income tax audits; demonstrate strong knowledge of sales and use tax regulations. Review and analyze clients’ financial documents and wage/income statements. Identify optimal tax resolution strategies and communicate recommendations to clients. Negotiate with the IRS and/or State agencies to resolve tax issues, including: Wage and bank levy releasesOffer in Compromise (OIC)Installment Agreements (IA)Currently Non-Collectible (CNC) statusPenalty AbatementsPrepare and file both personal and business tax returns. Collaborate with internal teams and clients through clear, professional communication. Monitor and follow up on Talent Acquisition KPIs (if applicable). Support onboarding processes for new hires and assist in various HR procedures as needed. RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) 2-3 years of tax experience (required) Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - must know VLOOKUP, SLOOKUP, and handle large datasets efficiently. Demonstrated interest in taxation and commitment to punctuality. Ability to work full-time exclusively (no concurrent jobs). Previous experience working with the US market is strongly preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Prior experience in tax debt resolution or negotiation is a plus.
