Position: Tax Associate
Type of Contract: Independent Contractor
Working Hours: 8:30am -5:30pm EST
Salary Range: $1.500 USD monthly

About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Tax Associate or Tax Accountants to join our growing team. This is a full-time, remote position ideally suited for candidates based in the Philippines, preferably with prior US tax market experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service in the tax domain..
Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding client service, building and maintaining client relationships throughout the tax resolution process.
  • Represent clients in sales and income tax audits; demonstrate strong knowledge of sales and use tax regulations.
  • Review and analyze clients’ financial documents and wage/income statements.
  • Identify optimal tax resolution strategies and communicate recommendations to clients.
  • Negotiate with the IRS and/or State agencies to resolve tax issues, including:
Wage and bank levy releases
Offer in Compromise (OIC)
Installment Agreements (IA)
Currently Non-Collectible (CNC) status
Penalty Abatements
  • Prepare and file both personal and business tax returns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients through clear, professional communication.
  • Monitor and follow up on Talent Acquisition KPIs (if applicable).
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires and assist in various HR procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
  • 2-3 years of tax experience (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - must know VLOOKUP, SLOOKUP, and handle large datasets efficiently.
  • Demonstrated interest in taxation and commitment to punctuality.
  • Ability to work full-time exclusively (no concurrent jobs).
  • Previous experience working with the US market is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
  • Prior experience in tax debt resolution or negotiation is a plus.
